Distribution & Victory

Distribution of Baal Mubaarak

It has been narrated from Hadhrat Anas (radi Allahu anhu) that the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) summoned a barber to remove the right-hand side of His Hair. He then called Hadhrat Abu Talha Ansaari (radi Allahu anhu) and gave to him. He then commande the left-hand side of His Hair to be removed and gave Hadhrat Abu Talha (radi Allahu anhu) saying: “Distribute it amonst the people.” (Bukhari, Muslim)

Commenting on this Hadith, Imam-e-Ajal Abu Zakariyyah Nawawi Shaafa’I (radi Allahu anhu) states: “From this Hadith it has been proven that to take blessings from the blessed Hair of the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and to keep it with you is permissible.” (Muslim vol. 1, page 421)

The Sahaba-e-Kiraam – The companions of the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessing of Almighty Allah be upon him) Honoured the Baal (Hair) Mubaarak

Hadhrat Anas (radi Allahu anhu) states: “I saw that barber was shaving the head of Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). The Sahaba-e-Kiram were moving in circles around the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) with the intention that should any Hair fall, then it will fall in one of their hands.” {Muslim, Vol. 2 page 256)

Hadhrat Imam Nawawi (radi Allahu anhu) states as follows concerning the above mentioned narrations. “In this, there is explanation of gaining blessing from the Tabarukat of pious people. The habit and manners of Sahaba-e-Kiraam shows they used to gain blessings from the possessions of Rasullullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)

They used to place the hands of Huzoor (Prophet) (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) on their heads etc. And gain blessings from it. They used to gain blessing from his blessed Hair. They showed such respect and excellence to it that before one hair would fall anywhere, it would fall into the hands of the person in that position. (Sharah Muslim, vol. 2, page 256)

From this it can be learnt that to be the first in gaining any blessings, showing utmost respect and honour, and to gain benefit and blessings from it is not innovation, but it is the Madhab and way of the Sahaba-e-kiram (radi Allahu anhumul ajma’in).

Victory attained through Baal Mubaarak

It has been narrated the Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleeed (radi Allahu anhu) never went into battle without his Hat wherein he kept the Blessed Baal Mubaraak of the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Once he had taken a small army and gone against a huge battalion of Romans. During this battle, death was staring the Muslims army in the face as the Romans overpowered them during battle. Even during the battle, it was through the barkat of the Baal Mubaraak that the army of hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed gained victory.

During this battle, Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed had forgotten his Hat at home. During the battle, the chief in command of the Romans army was killed, so his second in-charge commanded his army attack the Muslims all at once. When this offensive against the Muslim army occurred, the Sahaba-e-Kiraam were in very difficult situation. The situation was so difficult that Hadhrat Raafi bin Umar Taa’l (radi Allahu anhu) said to Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed (radi Allahu anhu) that he felt that their last day had come. Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed (radi Allahu anhu) said, “What you are be right and this is all happening because I felt my Hat at home in which the blessed Baal Mubarak of the Holiest prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaiihi wasallam). Whilst this was happening on the battle field, the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal lahu alaihi wasallam) appeared in the dream of Hadhrat Sayyidina Abu Ubaidah bin Al Jar’raah (radi Allahu anhu) who one of the commanders of a Muslim Battalion.
The Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) appeared in his dream and said, “You are asleep in such a time. Rise! And go to assistance of Khalid bin Waleed (radi Allahu anhu). The Kufaar have place them under siege.” He woke from his sleep and immdediately assembled his battalion and left towards the battle. As they drew close to the battle, they saw someone riding a swift horse racing towards the battle field. He stopped the rider and found that it was the blessed wife for Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed (radi Allahu anhu). She said that when she heard that Hadhrat Abu Ubaidah (radi Allahu anhu) had left to assist Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed (radi Allahu anhu) and that he was under siege, she could not understand she knew that he never lost in any battle due to the Baal Mubarak of Rasul-e-Paak (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) which he had in his Hat. She states that it was it was only then that realized that he had left the particular Hat at home, so she took the Hat and a swift horse and intended to have the Had delivered to her husband. Hadhrat Abu Ubaidah (radi Allahu anhu) asked her to continue towards that Battle field.

Hadhrat Raafi (radi Allahu anhu) states that they were about to be overpowered when they saw someone arrive with a swift horse on the battle field. When Hadhrat Kahlid bin Waleed (radi Allahu anhu) we close, he realized it was his wife who had brought his Hat. The narrator swears an oath saying…
“The moment Hadhrat Khalid bin Waleed (radi Allahu anhu) placed the hat onhis head and commanded us to attack the Kaufaar, the Kufaar could not defend them selves against us and we had gained victory.” Subhaanallah, this is the blessing of the Baal Mubarak of Rasul-e-Paak (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
