Disrespect & Values

Disrespect of Baal Mubarak Leads one to Hell

Hadhrat Ali (radi Allahu anhu) states, “Once I saw the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) holding on strand of his blessed Hair in his hand. He then said. “Anyone who shows any disrespect to my one strand of hair will have Paradise made haram upon him.” (kanzul Umaal)

Hadhrat Allama Yusuf bin Ishmeal Nabhani alaihir rahma quotes the following statement of Hadhrat Imam Fakhruddeen Raazi (radi Allahu anhu): “If a person disrespects even one hair of the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallah laahu alaihi wasallam), I will call such a person an infidel.” (Jawaahirul Bihaar)

Baal Mubarak More Valuable Than anything on Earth

Hadhrat Imam Muhammad bin Sireen (radi Allahu anhu) states. “When I told Sayyidina Ubaida (radi Allahu anhu) that I had a Baal Mubarak of Rasullulah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) which I received from Hadhrad Anas (radi Allahu anhu). He (Hadhrat Ubaidah) said: “According to me, to have one strand of the Baal Mubarak of Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is more beloved and valuable than the world and everything in it.”( Mawaahibul Laduniyah)

Excellence of the Water which is used on the Baal Mubarak

Allumdulillah, there are many people who the Baal Mubarak of Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in their homes. They allow people to make Ziyaarat of this great Tabaruk and during the ziyaarat, they pour water over the Baal Mubarak. There are those who object to this by saying that there is no need to clean the Baal Mubarak. I agree, we can not clean the Baal Mubarak.

It is absolutely pure, but this no why we pour water over the Baal Mubarak. We do not give ghusl to it with intention of cleaning it (Almighty Allah forbid), but we do so, so that the water that touches the Baal Mubarak is means of cleansing our hearts and our illnesses.

Hadhrat Sayyidina Uthman ibn Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) states: “My wife gave me a bowl of water and asked to take it to Ummul Momineen Bibi Umme Salma (radi Allahu anha).

When any one fell ill of had Nazr, my wife would send me with a bowl of water to Sayyida Umme Salma (radi Allahu anha). The reason for this because Umme Salma (radi Allahu anaha) had a Baal Mubarak of Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) which she kept in a silver casing. She used to remove the Baal Mubarak from the casing and shake the Baal Mubarak in the water. Those who were ill would gain shifa (cure) after drinking this blessed water. (Bukhari Shareef)

Baal Mubarak placed in the Kaffan

Hadhrat Muhaqqiq Abdul Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhadith dehlwi (radi Allahu anhu) quotes the following narration in this world renowed book ‘Madarijun Nabuitwat’: When the time of Hadhrat Sayyidina Umar bin Abdul Aziz’s (radi Allahu anhu) wisaal (time of death) drew near, he asked for a few strands of the blessed hair of Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and some blessed nail clippings of Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). He then made wasiyat (wish) that they should be placed in his kaffan and it was done as he requested. (Madarijun Nabuiwat)

Bequest of Hadhrat Anas (radi Allahu anha)

Hadhrat Sayyidina Thaabit Bunaani (radi Allahu anha) states that Anas ibn Maalik (radi Allahu anhu), one the chosen companions of the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said to me:

“Here is strand of blessed hair from the hair of the Holiest Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). After my demise, you must place it under my tongue. Thus after his demise, I placed it under his tongue as per his bequest and he was laid to rest in his grave like this.”
